Welcome Me Back!

It has been a REALLY long time since I have posted! I miss it. I may just get back into it! Hopefully a little less sporadic, but no promises! I left The Shops at 25 West, didn't do my favorite show, Chicks Along the Canal. I needed a break! It felt nice not to feel pressured about being creative. With no pressure I decided to do some college art. These are fun and so easy to make!

I saw a similar one on THIS blog and had to make one for myself, I just love it!

I haven't completely fallen off the face of the earth. Things have been CRAZY here! Kimmy will be graduating next Friday so we have been busy planning, organizing and cleaning! I did manage to do a little painting on a cute fold down table.

What Weekend?

Was is just me or did the weekend fly by? It was a busy one too. henna, derby, painting, meetings, cleaning and more painting. I finally painted the chalkboard wall in my kitchen, I will share a picture soon. Makayla and I went to the bout on Saturday night. What a great time! We took a few pictures with some of the props that the Kitty(?) had with her.
Chris even let me give him a Henna Tattoo. I love doing those I am seriously considering going to a Henna workshop that my friend Christine is hosting. Maybe this will be my newest art form, LOL

My beautiful friend Christine owns an eco-friendly salon. Last night she hosted Henna Hands. It was a wonderful time and we all gave ourselves awesome Henna Tattoos. Thanks Christine your the best!

California Pictures

Unfortunately I did not get to go over Spring Break, Kimberly did as an early graduation present. While I was loading pictures onto the computer I thought I would share a few she took.

It is nice to have her home, soon she will be starting her own journey I am both sad and excited at the same time.

WOW the weekend went by way too fast! Saturday was a blur...Roller Derby....cook out/party...coloring Easter Eggs.

We celebrated Jonathan's birthday with a cookout too bad the weather didn't cooperate.

I have been finishing up some of my sign orders...here is one for a grandfather for his birthday.

Home Again!

So Kimberly made it home! I really missed her! She arrived home about 7, I had derby so I didn't get to see her until about 11. Her luggage arrived at midnight. They almost missed their connecting flight due to weather so they made it just in time but their baggage didn't. She is so thoughtful and brought us all little gifts. She bought me an awesome ring ( a big flower, I LOVE large rings) and an Eiffel Tower bag. Now that I have my camera back I can get back into picture taking!

Derby was great, of course! Hard work and at times a mental game but I made it through and ready to do it all again Saturday! I am meeting a girl tonight who is selling all her derby gear. She was in the newbie class last year but could keep up with it as a single mom. I am hoping all fits as it will be a great deal!

I came across a local artist that has painted knee socks! I am ordering some for Derby, I can't wait, here is her website. Hoping she will join us the The Chicks show this year!
